“The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.” ~ Friedrich Nietzsche
I decided to recognize my part in the “Passion Play” continuing in my office, and change my attitude towards my colleagues. So every morning I start my day by praying for them and sending out positive energy towards them … I wish each of them well — and I wish for them what they most wish for themselves. I also ask for a peaceful working environment for that day.
As the day moves forward, no matter the negativity that might come my way, I’ll take a deep breath … pause to think about what’s going well/what I’m thankful for … and send back positive thoughts. At the end of the day, I’m always sure to offer up thanks for how things went.
Recognizing my accountability in the matter and being able to reach a point of “Zen” have helped me move forward to a healthier, better place.
